A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes ✨

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes ✨

Dreams do come true Life is a gift. Each moment we get to choose how we wish to spend our energy. Every thought, every emotion, every choice has a cost.
How are you choosing to spend your most precious treasure? Your time

I used to think that I would be able to truly start living when certain things would change.
When other people would change.
When I would be “given permission” to pursue the life I truly I want.
When I would be given a gold star for an approved way of being- acceptable choices and decisions that would make others comfortable.
But I wasn’t born to be comfortable. I was born to shake the table. I can’t help but do it with every breath I take. And if I look back at my life when I’m 85 years old, I know that I would regret playing it safe.
See, the thing is so many of us wait for permission, for things outside of us to change- in order to start being who we truly are.
We blame it on other things. People. Culture. “I can’t be me or I can’t do this because of xyz”. It’s all just excuses.
The truth is- being yourself is scary. Pursuing what you truly want is scary. It’s much easier to feed yourself excuses, and to stand in your own way, than to open up to the possibility of your own success.
My point is this: each moment is sacred. Each moment is precious. How you spend your time is the most important choice you will ever make. These micro decisions add up over time to determine the course of your life.
In truth, the possibility of death is my greatest motivator. You never know about tomorrow. So what will you choose to do today?

So many of us spend our time with our heads wrapped up in the future, or holding on to the past. Time seems to go by faster and faster, yet we don't seem to be any closer to reaching our goals, to choosing joy. We pour so much energy into creating our own prisons, with the plethora of reasons we give ourselves for why we can't be happy now, or why we can't do what we truly want to do.

It might sound cliché, but what if today - or tomorrow, were your last day alive? What would you do differently? What choices would you make? Death is a powerful motivator. Whenever we get into a complaining mindset, we have definitely forgotten the magic and wonder of life. We have forgotten how precious each moment is and we have forgotten that life is not guaranteed.

Life is not guaranteed.

All we ever truly have is now
